I downloaded Sygic Truck onto my Lenovo Tad 4 8 Plus tablet last night to have a play with it before forking out money for a license if I can't get on with it. I also added the Sygic Truck Route Sender extension onto Google Chrome.
I have tried without success to load a route onto Sygic Truck via the Route Sender as it just says " * Please enter a valid tag " I have entered the ID number from the Sygic Truck "About" info but no joy. The Lenovo is not GSM so is this the problem or am I just being a bit dim.
The Lenovo is Android

Response from Sygic to my query re iOS...

Hello Chris,
Thank you for contacting Sygic.

Unfortunately, it is not supported in the current version of the app, we will be adding importing feature in the future, however, I am not able to specify the term further at the moment.
Best regards,

Lukas

And my response....

It is very poor that if a feature is not supported it is still shown as available in the App. Furthermore, it is not made clear anywhere as far as I can see that this is an Android feature only - especially as the extension is made available for and works on a Mac on Chrome but simply does not deliver to the product which cost £125 - the most expensive app I have ever purchased!

It did not like my device tag either. So I used the email that I had registered with Sygic and that worked fine on both my tablet and Sallys (I registered hers with her email). Also you do need to have selected directions in google maps for it to work.

Since May 05 (Ex Tuggers).
So back to IGO Primo. Downloaded a copy and found an up to date 2018 Q4 set of maps and licence and with a bit of playing about we are up and running with the Truck Version that lets you input the size of vehicle. It also starts much quicker than CoPilot and is far easier to add User POI's. Have also put it on Samsung Tab 3.

So back to the dark ages of downloading maps and manually putting them in the correct folders and relying on the radio traffic updates and speed camera POI files. Maybe old hat but it certainly works. At least if you leave home with a working system it's not going to suddenly update itself and crash.
Nice one. (y) I'm glad I'm not the only one extolling iGo Primo. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

And so it goes on - their response to my further complaint...

Hi Chris,
Sygic Truck currently only introduced the extension that allows sending routes created in google map via desktop browser to the app. Sending from sygic.maps.com is not yet supported as the service is still in development.
We would like to add the extension compatibility to iOS version as well, unfortunately, it Apple is refusing to accept the update for the app, we are doing out best to resolve this matter.

Thank you.
Best regards,

And my response to them...

You are not responding to my point, merely reiterating your excuse!!!

The app in iOS clearly says it can be done - there is even a link which says “Learn More” leading to a blank page.

The extension works on a Mac in Chrome and Firefox leading the user tis believe this is available when it is not.

You clearly have another alternative which you use with your other app whereby the route is sent my email. When the link is clicked however it only offers your standard app and not the Truckapp.

At £125 this is simply not acceptable - what is your solution and not your excuse please?
