Beware - You Tube Scam !! (1 Viewer)

If you receive an e-mail purporting to be from You Tube Service advising you that "your video has been approved" do not open the e-mail it is a very serious virus. Just received this and like a fool opened it but my 'puter security was up to speed and saved me a disastrous event. Be warned!

Ive had a few of these emails but as i have not put anything on Utube i just deleted them, thanks for the warning.

It is so easy to inadvertently open these things, don't know why I did........ never had a video on You Tube !!!oh:oh:oh: Curiosity might have killed the 'puter !

I had the telephone computer help scam today, woukd the sod up for 20 minutes, you calling from Australia, oh thats expensive.

My puter is upstairs, its ten years old, what make is it , its grey.

How you know what I look at on my puter

You from MSN, those nice people, oh you mean Microsot that nice Mr Gates

All from 'YouTube' , all saying exactly the same thing and I rarely go on Youtube, over two weeks since I did.

Opening E-mails on smart phones

I open most of my mail on my smart phone. Does anyone have any ideas how these are effected by such viruses should I open it through the phone. I do have virus protection on the phone by the way.

Another 4 this morning. Luckily they all have gone into my spam box ( I check the spam box every day as legitimate things do go in sometimes) so they are not sent to my phone.

Plenty of info on google regarding this Youtube spam. No mention though of containing a virus, just a Canadian drugs company. Maybe they have drugs to treat the virus?
