Beware if you go to Delamere Forest campsite

That's very sad. :( And an important warning for any dog owners visiting the area.

Many moons ago, we used to live just along the road from Hatchmere, on the outskirts of Kingsley. The small lake was a regular spot for a fresh water swim in the summer.

We lived in Top Road, Kingsley before we moved back up to Scotland. We kept our horses at Manley, then Hill Top on the way to Frodsham and finally at Judith Child’s in Norley. I used to ride out in Delmamere forest regularly ... lovely part of the world.

Our local loch where we often walk the dog always has "toxic algal bloom" warning signs up.
Thing is, it's used for waterskiing. They must swallow gallons of the stuff.

Small world!!
We also lived on Top Road, number 117, property was called High Common, a bungalow at the top of the road, next to the Slack and the telephone box. We were there from 1979 to 1987.

We were number 19 so down the hill from you ... a semi-detached Victorian Cottage that has since been extended. It was our first house and tiny! We moved there in 1990 and we’re tgere for about 6 years.

Small world indeed!

The River Severn at Bewdley has an algal bloom at the moment, really stops the fish from biting they reckon so it’s not worth the gamble.
Oh, and I’ve never lived anywhere near those places so am feeling a bit left out!

Flipping hec ... it REALLY is a small world. When we’re you there?

If I told you that, there are those clever enough to work out how old I am.. :) May I just say it was a long time ago .. There was a shop that sold metal work, stag's horns, etc.. ;)

Did anyone NOT live there?

I’m on site in Bowness, on Windermere, the walk by the lake into town which is NT has signs saying algae bloom with possible death of dogs and making humans very ill. Still dogs and people in the lake. In fairness to the peeps, the sign, yes just the one, was just as you came onto the NT area from town, there wasn’t anything that I saw from the other end of the walk.

We no longer walk in Delamere Forest ( 5 miles from us) due to the level of dog mess
You have to walk with your head down constantly if you want to avoid
What a shame

I'm afraid I also found it a dog's toilet
I stayed at the CCC Site in order to ride my bike but anywhere within 1/4 mile of a carpark stinks.
It's a real shame as it could be a nice attraction.

The problem is their Stick and Flick policy which is brilliant to avoid plastic bags .... but some people forget to FLICK under a bush .. :(

Yes there are still a lot of dog lovers ? Who are irresponsible

I have been avoiding Spice's favourite dew pond for weeks, due to its rather colourful nature. It's only in the last few days that notices have been put up.
Even our garden fountain gets a bit green but a squirt of Milton keeps under control.
