We stopped over last night Thursday 2nd September to break the journey en route to Cornwall.
We should have kept driving!
Last nights road construction work carried out between 11 pm and 4am meant we had no sleep.
Local businesses had been advised by the construction company…..I know this because I had nothing better to do in the early hours than search the internet! Riverside Camping and Caravan park, South Molton did not share this fairly important information with us. No emails, nothing on their website. No mention of major night time construction scheduled for our one night stay when we were ‘welcomed’ to the site!
So I’m sharing it with you, just in case you choose to break your journey here, beware there are further dates planned in September. Leaving early, very early. Next stop Tintagel although we’ll probably be asleep on arrival!
