Not long enough!
Have tried cyberghost, paid subscription, but no bbciplayer server for 2 weeks so have cancelled.
What vpn are well travelled funsters using??? Thanks

I have used a few in the past, Pure VPN was the last and current but I don't need to use it now as UK TV streams in Europe on UK sims.

The BBC is continually playing catchup with VPN's and blocking them, Pure VPN had good help when I needed it.

I only have 15gb available abroad.
Wifi on campsite which I use.

So, back to the original question.

We have 3 contract which now allows 19gb data abroad. We used to use PureVPN to download mainly BBC but as posted they generally got wise to that pretty quickly.

We installed the Pure VPN extension in Google and it has been allowing us to watch, but not download BBC for almost 12 months. If you find a VPN that does let you download its better as you can leave it running overnight and not disrupt the campsite signal.

Don't forget if you get caught out it remembers that you are abroad and you need to clear your browser history before trying again.

You will be popular then, not many site wifi's that will support many people streaming.
so, when the number of people streaming reduces the data level to one that makes streaming unwatchable, people choose to stop or continue streaming.

Carry on Streaming Sue (starring Barbara Windsor as Sue and Sid James as Matamoros)

It's been pretty good here. I only stream in sd, and the couple of times I've turned it off in 6 weeks is when there's been a big sporting event on.

at some stage i can see a legal challenge to the BBC, based on security. i should be able to watch BBC in the UK using a vpn to protect my network and personal data. i pay my licence fee.

I agree. The answer I got from the BBC Media, when I questioned them on the subject was totally non committal, and didn't address the situation at all.
So, perhaps not continuing with my licence fee direct debit after forty years of payments, won't make a blind bit of difference, but it might put a smug smile on my face. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

i use Express vpn and had no probs whether in europe, america or thailand
