Seem to remember that version of SoS being posted a few months ago and it got a similar response, I quite liked it after a few listens but probably didn't at the time.

Edit: It was mentioned here and Broken Link Removed.

On a serious note, I love rock music and have Planet Rock playing in the villa most of the day.

The song is OK, but he's a shouty singer and I reckon it's got a few good reviews coz of how how good the original was

Not sure it's a top ten tune but listen to it a couple of times now and in the right mood it grows on you (y)
Unfortunately, so do shingles.

I don't like them either.

The original might be up among the contenders but I don't think this is a patch on that.

Liked the original Sound of Silence, like this one too.

Like the change from melodic to quite gritty

Not a classic but I like this chappie. Gasper Nali from Malawi playing a home made instrument called a ‘Babatoni’, a bass guitar, about 3 metres long, with one string made from wire retrieved from a burnt tyre and a cow skin drum as a resonating box, played with a stick and an empty bottle :)

What an amazing performance. The sound from that instrument is gorgeous (I bet it's a bit of a game getting to gigs especially by bus!). It's such a happy, catchy song and I love his voice. Had me jigging along with it.
