“ I’m a newbie”
Going from Manchester to Norfolk Broads CMC on July 4th, and have been advised to avoid Wroxham Bridge, looking on Google Earth it does look narrow, so looking for an alternative route, please.

we live 10 minutes from Wroxham bridge no problem for us at 3.8 tons & towing, artics and double deckers go over it. Then follow signs to horning and carry straight on to ludham. Next bridge up the river is at Acle a long way round and roads worst. Coltishall bridge is the worst.

No problem with Wroxham bridge , lorries and all sorts cross it no problem and a better route to site to boot.

I'm assuming you'll be coming across the M62 then down the A1, as far as Newark then the A17 across to Sleaford then Kings Lynn then the A47 Swaffham then Norwich. When you get to Norwich don't go into the city but stay on the A47 Norwich bypass following signs for Gt Yarmouth. Leave the A47 at Acle roundabout (BP garage on left), take the A1064 for approx 5 miles to Billockby, then take the A1152 signed Clippesby then the A149 Bastwick and Potter Higham. Do not take the 1st turn left into Potter Higham but continue on the A149 for approx 2 miles to the next left into Station Road then turn right onto A1062 signed Ludham. The Norfolk Broads CMHC site is approx 5 miles on your left after passing through Ludham village.
Whilst this is a few miles further than going via Norwich City and Wroxham its quicker and a much easier drive.
Enjoy you stay. They do a nice breakfast at the littel cafe beside the broads at Ludham Bridge 5min walk from the site, you can also get your daily papers from there.

Hi

correct, A17, A47, round south side of Norwich towards Great Yarmouth, Then a1270 (new dual carriageway) a1151 Wroxham road Through wroxham then a1062 to site. pub up the road The Dog, bring bikes or be prepared to drive Motorhome about only Riverbank walks near the site, can give you suitable car parks for MH if needed.
