Best power source for Reversing cameras, GPS tracker? (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I’ve recently picked up some reversing cameras, a GPS tracker, and also a 4G antenna and have tried to hook them up using a piggy back fuse adaptor on the main vehicle fuses under the steering wheel.
I thought I found a good fuse which only powers up when I switch on the ignition (airbag circuit), but after doing this, I got an airbag failure fault which I cannot clear (I bought an OBDII diagonistic plug and the associated software - it doesnt pick up the fault, so I cant clear it). It seems no matter which fuse I choose to piggy back on to, it plays havoc with the vehicle CANbus system.
I dont want to take a new supply directly off the battery because I only want the circuit to power up when the ignition is on.

Try using the auxiliary feed to the radio to power your new accessories but you will probably need to get the faults cleared by someone with a proper diagnostic pc

As Grummyb says the ACC feed to the radio is easy to connect too. That's where I connected my 4 cameras and dashcam.

The GPS Tracker you probably want on all the time? If it's like my Accordo, the little wires to the back of the fridge for the fridgelight are live all the time, and at the bottom is quite a good place for a tracker - out of sight, not too hot (unlike the top), and GPS and GSM signals go straight through the walls no problem. If it's like my £25 Amazon tracker (can't imagine where it's made!), it only takes about 40mA, little more than an led. If you want 12v switched, only on when engine's running, the thick wires to the fridge provide that.
For a feed at the front, I'd go for the back of the ciggy lighter socket. It's a pain but these days they only work with the ignition on. And I'm darned sure there's no canbus driving them! Or since it'll have at least a 10A fuse, go for that one.

Quick update - ended up using the 12V power supply plug which is next to the cigarette lighter. This has its own fuse in the engine bay fuse/relay box. It's connected to the ignition so powers up when you turn the key. I ran a new cable from this (simple spade connector goes straight in), under the dash and up the door pilar to the Hab area where I then branched it off to the 3 devices.
The GPS tracker has a standby battery life of around 2 months so I don't need it connected to a permanent supply - it will get chraged up when I'm using the MoHo. All works great and no faults triggered on the CANbus!

My reversing cameras come on when I put vehicle into reverse, plus a permanent rear view camer which can be switched on or off
