Best place and price for Microsoft office?

I think it’s 365 now which will cost you minimum of £79.99 a year! You could give OpenOffice a try, works on Linux/Mac/Windows and is free. Used to use it all the time to share documents between a Windows PC and Mac laptop before going 100% Apple.

My daughter asked me a few days ago If I had this as she needs it, I don’t have it now but noticed that they sell a student version for a one off payment. I just use the free ones on the iPad.

openoffice for home use is great.
there is also google sheets remember

Another vote for Open Office, in some ways better than MS Office.

I tend to renew my Office 365 subscription via Amazon- Personal use is on offer at £39.99 and Family at £48.99 per year

office 2019, buy outright with no ongoing subscription. It can be bought on the grey market for about £20 for the card with serial number on

just checked, there is a source at £15 PM for link

I too have been regularly renewing with the £79 version.
I need it on my Mac and an iPad and for the document to be linked to both devices .
Does the £39.99 Amazon version allow for this do you know ?

I’m fully converted to Google now for both work and personal use, sheets, docs etc. It’s as good as 365 and in many ways better. MacBook at home, PC at work and it crosses very well..

I can see that it does work on more than one device (y)

The standalone, traditional Microsoft office suite is still available.
Office 2019 is the current offering, I think.

I tried the open source option. They may do somethings better than MS but several things are worse.
How ingrained in Word, excel, etc. shortcuts and ways of working are you?

I used OpenOffice for home a few years but when MS Office was offered on sale it was a relief to go back.

The code purchased is redeemed via your Microsoft account and the Personal version can be used simultaneously on 5 devices signed in to your account, the family version is up to 5 individuals, each with the same usage allowance

I have office 365 for when I was working and ms office on my laptop which came bundled, I wanted to ditch the ms office and just use 365 but when ever I try neither acknowledge each other and Microsoft will not let me use 365 on the laptop because I have the bundled office, catch 22.

I use Libra office, but I still have Microsoft office 2003 on my pc and it still works
Likewise. Libre Office allows me to save documents in MS Word 2003 format so my old and new laptops can share them.

I am not going to throw away my old IT just to make money for Microshaft.

I downloaded a microsoft office key via ebay for £20, you pay then they send you a key number, works great

Not a lot of use though if you want to open stuff off the french government sites.

Any ideas, or is it office 365 now ?
I've got and use both MS Office and LibreOffice on a variety of Windows and Linux machines. Both are excellent however I find macros easier to work with in MS (probably because I'm used to doing it!).
Anyway, if you want a pukka MS Office 2019 purchase, none of your suspect codes from other external sources that may or may not work and may or may not stop at any time, Groupon has offers on at the moment (up to 31 July, 2019). The Home and Student edition is £28.95 with the Pro version being £44.99.
Broken Link Removed

I got two copies off a previous offer and they're pukka copies that you have to register with MS not a hacked business copies.
