Why is the weight only 2800 though surely that could be upgraded to 3.500

It's got some typos as it's a 500 not a 700 (which they don't make!), MAM is 3200 and payload 311 which is still crap mind.

Just read the article and apart from the typos and payload, is the fixed bed designed for Dwarfs, there doesn’t seem to be space for a person to sit up in bed if you look at the wall cupboards around the bed there Isn’t much room below them. Why do so many vans appear impractical for use by humans ? 🙀

I couldn't live with the front bed base being 'in my face' when sitting in the dinette, it would feel very oppressive.

If you look at the photos of the internals, I think it’s crap that they still use stick on edging on the boards, a couple of summers and winters and it will be peeling off and I bet you cannot get replacement strip if it gets damaged.
Most vans seem to be made cheaply to sell dearly, not for me.

Simon,

Can I ask you, do you have any input into manufacturers designs and construction quality? Because looking at new vans it’s more about bling and gimmIcks and not about quality construction, with many vans constructed with poor materials, plastic catches which break, board edging that peels off and constructed in such a way that repairs cost £000s and there are not enough quality repairers to do the work when required in a timely manner.

If a buyer really wants a coachbuilt on a VW T6 with a big end washroom, look no further than the Wingamm Micros. No longer available except used. You can only get new ones on a FIAT base.

Not much point in building on a narrow T6.1 to then bloat out the sides. The T6.1 is 3200kg max unless uprated, whereas Elddis have been doing that same width for years. You can also uprate the Peugeot chassis beyond 3.5T if you wish to.
