We've recently returned from France and, having parked in some dusty locations, can really see the benefit in having a mat/ covering outside the habituation door. Can anyone recommend one for me? Many thanks.

One you can fasten down as my last one blew away somewhere in Spain! A lot of campsites don't like them as they kill the grass! Have a look at Aldi/Lidl when they do their camping week, they do breathable floor coverings and pegging for under £20

Get a cheap rubber one is my advice having left one at an aire, and also they have to be stored once the are picked up. Hairy ones hold all the crap, and rain.

To be fair I don't especially see the need to use one on grass.

OP did say for use on dusty areas no mention of grass.

We bought a Fiamma one last year only used it once on a private Aire, unlikely to use it on grass as we don't do sites.

I carried a piece of artificial grass that I just rolled out side the van.

Astro turf.
Cheap and easy can be shaken off and put on the floor of the van to travel.

Astro turf, great idea and on my list! You might be able to get a piece big enough as a "sample" from some of the leading suppliers...
