Me too. I have the Milenco quads on 16 inch rims. Works very well.

I’m very happy with our Thule ramps which are now about 5 years old and still in full working order. No splits or cracks, etc. Used on our circa 4000kg Autotrail and our new Burstner motorhome.

Two lengths of scaffold board about 18" long and assortment of blocks of wood for getting height, if we have to drive off in a hurry its only a couple of bits of timber we lose.

We’ve had these old yellow ones about 15 years still use them. They fit any size wheel/tyre.

I find the above type excellent for minor levelling but many is the time I have used the Milenco Quatro, the only thing to watch with them is have an assistant as if you driving clean over them they can get wedged underneath but they are for the large amount of lift than the yellow Fiamma wedges.

I bought some Milenco MGI Midi Level T2 for my PVC which has 15" wheels and although they raise it to a good level, even the 15" wheels do not fit in the cups properly resulting in the tyre being put under stress by the ridge. Even when the tyre is on the top section, still not seated properly. Good quality but poor design.

Twin wheeler need 4 to lift back of van, just going to get rid of the little yellow ones.

Apologies if this is adequately covered somewhere. I've spent quite a while looking and not found a suitable recommendation.

I'm trying to figure out the best ramps to buy for levelling our new pvc van. I've seen many complaints about the strength of the common Fiamma and Thule ramps ie they split after very little use. Our van is rated to 4250KG although typically wont be much above 3500kg. It has the larger 16 inch alloy wheels.

I've seen recommendations for the Milenco Quattro ramps for being of much stronger construction than many others but I've also seen comments from owners of vans with 16 inch wheels saying that their wheels are too big to fit the curve of this ramp. This is looking like being a more problematic purchase than I was anticipating.

Are there any owners of PVC vans with 16 inch wheels out there that have a set of ramps that they're happy with and would feel comfortable recommending to others?

I have milenco triples used with 16” rims on 3.5T PVC. They were great in malvern and wales where I’ve used all three heights, even on decidedly soggy grass pitches, no sinking and good grip going on and off - no trying to spit them out . Mine came in a nice strong bag which helps keep the mud at bay, it’s also a decent size so no struggle trying to squeeze them in. I am considering a lower ‘straight’ pair for when smaller adjustment or just one wheel is needed and then swap them in and out depending where Im headed and what room Ive got!

Question: What difference does rim size make? Other than heavier vans tend to use 16s? The rolling diameter and curvature of the tyres is going to be about the same.

Personally I found all commercial ramps made for caravan wheels to be useless for a M/H with 16-17 inch wheels - had two lots, Fiamma and Milenco, both of then the space for wheels too small & one lot broke under the weight.

In the end gave them away and made some out of 150 x 50 (6 x 2) timber of 3 different lenghts and far better - because I made them then the length for the wheel to fit on is much longer and more suitable for M/H wheels.

Another little quirk, because the extra length made them too long to fit in allocated storage space then I actually only screwed the 2 shorter levels together and the 3rd (bottom and longest) level is kept separate so most of the time just use 2 levels, but when 3 levels needed then the 2 upper levels fit on the longer lower level and some drop-in pins to hold in in position (the pins actually being 4" galvanised flat-head nails with the points chopped off)

For anyone else researching, I would advise to avoid the Milenco MGI Maxi T3's because the initial step up at the front is huge and only a decent run up to the ramps will get the wheels up them. Awful things

We have the latest version of the Milenco Quad called the Quattro 3 Level. Excellent.

Have never used the chocks, waste of time and space, handbrake is perfectly adequate.

How do you level a van with the handbrake?BUSBY.
