we've been trying to find out which Insurance company to go with when we get our motorhome... been looking at SafeGuard?

Who would you guys recommend?

A lot depends on precisely what you are going to do with your MH.

If you want to use it for travel to and from a place of work, many companies dont want to know and won't insure. Most companies like MH/Campervan owners who keep 'em stuck on the driveway at home for 90% of the year with use of a car as the main vehicle. In my case i wanted to use mine to travel to and from work as well as holidaying. Saga (who were the cheapest) don't do that, so i went with Norwich Union and pay £200 fully comp.

The best insurance company will depend upon type and size of van, type of use, driver's age, mileage etc.

If you are very young, drive a DIY conversion, full time and drive huge mileages each year then the insurance company will look upon you a a very different rick from a middle aged family driving a bog standard van just for a few weeks a year.
