It's that time again £££ any recommendations for a reasonable insurance company
Last year with saga £620, with breakdown and 10000miles.???
I'm sure I've seen the threads suggesting much cheaper options but can't find them again.

Depends what level of cover you want and if you want them to payout without any fuss if you have a bump. We were with AIB but when you change they don’t use No Claims Bonuses which means it’s difficult to go elsewhere. Also look at the level of glass cover. We have just broken a windscreen on an A Class so hate to think how much that’s going to cost. Good job it does not effect no claims bonus.

We are with NFU in Chichester as they were the only one we could find who didn’t want an alarm and tracker fitting.

Although I'm probably about to leave them after 8 years, Comfort do pretty good motorhome insurance and breakdown cover.

https://www.comfort-insurance.co.uk/

I'm only leaving because they have provided a huge quote (3 x normal) for a specific requirement I have for this coming year.

I've been paying just over £300 pa, fairly consistently with Comfort, which included full UK and European breakdown cover.

I have just left Comfort but would have stayed with them had they insured our import on the VIN number.however gOne to Safeguard who have really whacked on the premium but had no choice could not get anyone else interested. They don’t seem to like DIY importers.(y)

Just changed to Comfort from the Caravan & Motorhome Club (Devitts) because of the massive (more than doubled) quote when we tried to insure our new van. Comfort quote is less than we paid last year with C&MC and better cover in some respects. We are limited to 6,000 miles a year though which is less than you want but I can't see that being a massive factor.

Clearly being a new policy, we haven't made a claim so can't say how that would be handled but, then again, never claimed from the C&MC in best part of 5 years either.

Just renewed mine with Adrian Flux - tried other companies suggested on this forum, but they were all about £100 more.

You had a good result via Caravan Guard for your Hymer. What value did they place on replacement if you dont mind me asking?
I was on the phone with them last Sept for abt 40 mins, only to be told they couldnt insure me!!!!! Was not asking for anything out of the ordinary. No previous etc.

Full value/cost less excess £100
I did suggest that I read recently that a replacement on windscreen on Hymer could cost £3000
