During the winter period the Truma S 3000 P heating system max 2 kw on my Bessacarr E 450 is unable to maintain a comfortable enough temperature using electric only. The thermostat is set at max 9 and initially the blown air is warm enough but after a while the blown air temperature reduces and is not enough to keep the van warm. The thermostat is at the bottom of the fixed bed on the outside of the wardrobe and quite near the fire. I suspect the thermostat is influenced by its position near the fire and I was thinking of fitting a remote sensor to a cooler position. Do you think this will improve the ambient temperature. At the moment we use an addition fan heater to keep a suitable temperature. Would be grateful for any advice.
