Bernie Ecclestone charged with fraud over assets worth £400m

Just a matter of scale isn't it, is he really any happier with three billion that he has to avoid tax on than any one just jogging along on three thousand.
Yes.

Doesn't he live in Brazil now ? Maybe taking a leaf out of Ronnie Biggs' book, have a kid to a local and no extradition treaty to the UK ?

Why do people who are near the end of their lives & rolling in money play games like this?
At this rate if found guilty he is likely to end his days in prison. Weird huh.
Read his autobiography....he has been a crook/villian/fraudster/bully all his life, even to his best pal and protogee Jochen Rindt RIP. Only way he got anywhere with his Brabham team.

There’s a lot of morale judgement making going on here about someone folks have probably never met, never known and only read about mainly in Murdoch’s media, who incidentally is one of his arch enemies.

I am no fan of Ecclestone. I hold him and his pal Max Mosely responsible for turning F1 into a money printing machine, now US-owned, dominated by a handful of teams with massive budgets. To even start a team now you need to be a billionaire. F1 used to be open to a genius engineer / racing driver enthusiast e.g. Colin Chapman but those days are long gone. Bernie pulled up the ladder behind him.

I agree. Also, once a charge has been laid, you have to be careful with public comments otherwise it can become contempt of court.

Also attract the worse media publicity you can get then your Barrister stands up claiming 'Trial by Media, my Client cannot get a fair trial'.

Of course that might work in a jury trial, but not many English High Court Judges will fall for that one.

No photographs in these people's properties is quite a common clause in the contracts when working in them, or it was when i was in that sector

Different world isn't it joe where money is of no importance.
We were given free M&M's, they should have been delivered with their initials on them so they didn't want them. :ROFLMAO:

“The world is mine “ as long as daddy is paying :giggle:
