the ones saying everyone is getting fined and being turned round in Spain

it really is all BS afaik and not happening hence there’d be no posts saying “we have just arrived” or “we have just moved from here to there”

So where do folk get all this other negative news from, or is it all what they “think” is happening

Well I don't know. I'm not there and not going but I've seen plenty of info in the media about travelling through different provinces.
I don't think this bloke wants anyone driving through Valencia. It's probably just rubbish though


Of course just because there are lots of people driving down to Spain with no problems, it doesn't follow that what they are doing is legal.

that may have been in Nov but it’s certainly not now

20euros if you have ACSI, entertainment in Calypso and alcohol up to 11pm when we were there in December

I love the implication that I don't know what I am talking about! We know a Dutch couple who were just fined €28000! So whilst you may want to take a chance and you may find the Guardia Civil just wave their arms at you in acknowledgment you may also find they wave their gun and their paperwork at you. I do know what the rules are, which is why I posted to help. I also know that some "chancers" get away with it. I know that some have been caught and that the fines are draconian.

So, you have the information. Break the rules at your peril. If you make it - great. The weather is lovely down here. It you get caught - don't blame me.

There is alcohol and entertainment in some pubs

I was at tropical only last night have a beer with entertainment. 4 singers
Adel.
Take that.
One man band.
Queen.

Entertainment on every night at the tropical.

But you are half right benidorm is very very quiet.
