Right that’s it we’re on our holidays now.

Traveled from home down to derby way to stay overnight then Portsmouth tomorrow for ferry.

Despite thinking had drained the water down well must have missed something as bathroom tap would not turn. Heating on and thawed out ok. But not filling with water till off the ferry in Spain. Predicted to be -7 tonight.

Van is lovely and toasty though.

So the. Benidorm, we’re on our way

Even Madrid was 7°c this morning...a little cooler on the high mountain passes...should make for a pleasant trip...
Remember the 0.20€ per litre discount on fuel our government gives everyone.....does not apply to beer and wine though...that's cheap enough where you are heading...

Was going to wash the van before I left but with all this really cold weather thought it would probably need washing again when I get to El Raco.

Glad I didn’t as it is absolutely manky now and only at the Brittany ferry port at Portsmouth and I mean manky.

All off the roads over that last two days.

Off the ferry and in Zaragoza municipal site. It’s ok. Bit pricy at £26 but will do.

Filled up the water system with everything crossed and yes there was a leak. Problem was it was the in line water filter that I had taken out to ensure it didn’t freeze as it had been installed horizontally. When I put it back in I hadn’t pushed the push fit connector hard enough on one end, doh . Fortunately we noticed it quickly and sorted. So we have water . And lesson learned was, leave the damn thing alone as I’m useless

By the way the Galicia was ok. Thought it was really well priced and the boss is in heaven with fags at £3 a packet from the duty free. Really smooth sailing.

AP68 to Zaragoza from Bilbao cost 33.75 euros. Thought that was pretty heavy cost wise.

At just 11 cents per kilometre its quite cheap compared to France and others. Did you consider using some of the A68 when it runs alongside as its free?

There’s a Dutch restaurant but I cannot remember any British owned bars on the front, but I don’t drink so may have not noticed them. Will be there in two weeks so I will have a look.

We went to Imperium for five years on the trot I (even went to look for you) last year lost my pitch as I couldn’t stay 3 months so go to Almafra now and love it, we were the small Fifthwheel near toilet block

I remember noticing you parked up, we just book a Allon pitch for 60 days as they are large enough for our van. We only find out which pitch it is when we get there but they are all similar.

It’s weird as as a teenager I planned on a holiday with a mate. That was 40 years ago. But it never happened and never got here till today.
