We visited Belgium a few weeks ago. Bruges is a lovely city and there is a camp site a bus ride away called Camping Memling. (Bus stop 10 minutes walk from site then about 15 / 20 minutes on the bus)

.

We were not able to discover any aires or camping-platz very near the city; we decided that Memling was, on balance, the best bet.

We also visited Antwerp - bus stop about 15 minutes walk from Camping Molen (there's also an Aire Molen - we think - nearby, but the site was better for our needs). Bus took about half an hour, if I remember rightly, through a tunnel under the river. Didn't like Antwerp as much as Bruges, but there's plenty to see.

Not far from Antwerp is Aachen where we stayed one night on a Stellplatz. Only spent a couple of hours or so in Aachen but liked the old part of the city and plan to 'do' it properly sometime in the future. The cathedral is particularly interesting.

We then went on to Koln and then visited a few places in Holland.

Hope this is of use to you.
