Just watch out for potholes in the roads ... Belgium is nearly as bad as the UK.

I would second Bill's suggestion of Ipers ... lovely town and worth a visit to the Menin Gate for the evening ceremony. We went last month and Martin Bell (former war reporter) was there laying a wreath wearing his trademark white suit.

We stayed at one here 50.127589, 5.187939 recently, an easy stop just off the main road to Luxembourg. Quiet, clean and pleasant over looking fields.
7.50 a night including waste, fresh water and electricity. There were toilets at 40 cents a go, but we didn't use them so can't really comment.

Can't give you an aire but as you come to the roundabout at the edge of Ypres town there is a Lidl just to the left, in front of the store there is a public car park where we have camped twice, never been disturbed.

IMSM you will need to go left at r/a and do a turnaround near the station to get to it.

Met some some Belgian motorhomers there who said they have been parking there for years.

Also, if you turn right at the roundabout there is a giant tap sculpture at the 2nd r/about, take 2nd exit, turn left at top of road left, again at traffic lights and left again at the street just before the arch of the monument, this will take you to a car park where you can pitch.

No services here but it is behind Juengesstadion camping site who will allow you to fetch water, also let us use the loo.

If my directions are wrong I am sure someone will be along to correct them.

Juengesstadion were about €12 a night, not a big site but may have space, you can also book online.
