Nearly bought one...
Ok fellow MoHomers,
After working hard for 35yrs, my wife and I have decided to take 3 months off work for a European tour commencing in September. Details are light at the minute, (exactly how we won’t it) but roughly I want to turn left in Calais, pass through Belgium, up into Holland, right into Germany, then over a few weeks drift down to the Med, where the weather will be warmer.

I’m looking for sites, villages, things to do in Belgium/Holland and especially Germany, as these are all new countries for me to tour, I’ll do the usual and buy all the latest books of Vicarious Media, but would really love any advice to make the trip memorable

Try this.
I don't know much about about Holland but you can also easily spend a top week in Belgium -- Enjoy

It’s worth it lol, I just mentioned the must see points , obviously there is so much in between which is of interest, if you like to see a lot of yachts, add Empuria Brava, just when you cross into Spain , it’s like a high tech modern Venice for yacht owners , quite a sight.

I did a retrospective journal circumnavigating Brussels. Find the journals in the menu then select Bergues.

You may also want to view a thread "Germany info sharing" done during COVID times. Best to go straight to page 10 ISH as it is interspersed with COVID rates.

We will be going in about 3 weeks back to Belgium across to Aachen then cycling a disused railway line to Luxembourg.
Think it will be its own thread for the cycling and photo of the day for the rest rather than a complete thread. Probably do a journal of that as well
