I think I can probably count on two fingers the total number of times I’ve actually used my microwave in over two years, apart from it being a heavy and rattling bread cupboard, and its position in the sliding door aperture, significantly reduces the view from my sofa.

So this morning, armed with screwdriver, saw and sander, it was removed, along with the housing. The shelf above the microwave is handy, so I left that in situ. Just a bit of tidying up of edge trim tomorrow and the job’s a good ‘un ?

i actually had our microwave out of the Kingham a few days ago so that i could place rubber below the feet of it , no more squeaks now , sure it rattles , but its staying put in ours as we use it about 3 times every day via our inverter when we are on the road for coffee :)
It looks like you've did a good job of removing it.
Nice 1 yy yy

I can never see the point of a microwave in a Motorhome although we did have one in our last caravan because it didn't have an oven and with a caravan you are stuck with using prison camps.

Use our microwave/oven all the time. If we are somewhere without power then start up the good old 5.5kw Onan.

All folks are different, I turned ours into a useful kitchen storage cupboard.
