Whenever we arrive and open the fridge everything has fallen to the front and falls out when you open the door. Does anyone know if there is a product that clips on the front of the shelf to stop this or has anyone made something?

We use small plastic crates that fit on shelfs.. available in different sizes at any pound shop.. two fit perfectly on each shelf.!

My beer is boxed and the fridge shelves have a non-slip drawer liner on top.

I hope it is nothing like this.

I would pack my beer safely before anything else. (y)
Definitely ... having had a can split once as they are very thin I can tell you they make a hell of a mess and them smell takes forever to get shot of!!!!!

Ditto. :) They also fit very well into those small envelope type lockers too. (y)

And ditto again. :)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

We use crates/containers on the fridge shelves so that, apart from keeping stuff secure, if something spills/leaks it means it is retained in the crates/boxes and is easy to clean up rather than try to clean the fridge shelves & contents as it invariably drips down (been there, done that, hubby has the t-shirt and it's well worn!). We also put the anti-slip stuff on the shelves too as it helps to keep anything that isn't in a tub from sliding about. We also have some smaller containers in the upper door shelves for smaller items otherwise sod's law states they will fall over the moment you take something our that was next to them!

Just make sure you don't get crates/containers that are too tightly fitting so that the cold air can still circulate ... you don't want warm lettuce!!!.

You could also put a tension rod on the inside of the fridge to prevent stuff from falling all over the floor when you open the door. Amazon sell all sizes.

Same here ref lockers. I've replaced the light coloured baskets in the first photo with the better quality black Keter type ones (top right) and can get 3 in the top with a gap for packets of biscuits at the side! :tounge:

Sadly is a domestic fridge so shelves are flat but product suggested by Winger looks ideal as does tension rod by Ginam will have a look into both

Ahh the smell of that deodorant canal number ?

Must just add for those stressed that no beer was spilt in the writing of this post. Just bottles/cans always fall on floor

Not packing enough beer in….leaving too much space? A combination of 330mil cans and bottles, along with 500mil cans and bottles….nothing will move. Cheese cut to size to act as wedges. (y)

I don't take beer, I buy real ale in a pub. I take wine but stored in external storage locker.

It's very difficult to find a pub selling real ale.................when touring across the water ;) hence the need to take bottles or cans of our favourite ales. I've been drinking Weissbier for the last 3 x weeks here on the Mosel, but I still revert to a British ale from the locker or cool box occasionally.

Cheers :drinks:

This is exactly what I've done in our fridge - so far, so good.
