............. so thought it was time I said hello.

I may have met some of you as I belong to a few camping related website forums, and I used to be on another well known motorhome forum when it first started (2003?) and I had an Autosleeper which I changed to an Elddis Autoquest.

Went back to caravans for a few years, now thinking of a motorhome again.

But a smaller one this time.

Thanks for the welcome, have seen a few folk on here that I think I recognise from elsewhere. :thumb:

Variety is the spice of life, eh :)

I don't think there a "right" answer to the age old question, though a 5th wheel may be the closest. Or, if you are up for it, £250K of RV with a car inside.

I've never had a caravan but I've watched them arrive and depart and thought, "that's hard work".
But I also remember watching a guy getting his car on a trailer and the trailer hitch to his MH and that too was hard work.

We did quite a lot of Eurocamping when we had small kids, now that was easy.

It was Eurocamp that started us off. ::bigsmile:

As a youngster (from about 2 to about 25 or so) I did lots of camping. Parents graduated to a small motorhome in their 50s and I sometimes still went with them with my little tent.

Married, husband refused to do camping, so it was package hols for a few years till the kids came along. Then I put my foot down - too much luggage for airports and planes with a baby in tow - so we did a Eurocamp hol. He got chatting to some folk who were on site in their own trailer tent and was very enthusiastic about how much cheaper it was for them, and how much nicer to have your own belongings with you.

The following summer we bought a very small caravan. :thumb:
