Unfortunately overnighting by Campervans & Motorhomes has been banned at the green in Beaumaris by the Town Council, too much rubbish strewn all over the green. Bin bags left behind, just litter everywhere. Fines are in place- you have been warned ? More reading in the Daily Post

When did that happen?

I’m sure it’s todays Daily Post, read it over someone’s shoulder at MAC Donald’s tonight

It's been prevented for a couple of years at least by height barriers hasn't it? I think the latest ruling is to permit daytime parking?

I have not tried to overnight there , but I’m sure there are no height barriers? The green is an open area and not enclosed, ?

Motorhome parking is still allowed I think till 10pm

There really are some idiots in motorhomes int there, how much rubbish could they have in one night that they couldn't put in a bin or keep till they find one.
Just sleeping one night shouldn't make any rubbish any different than a car probably less as they are built with bins in.

But saying that, we parked there last year and never saw any rubbish or any problems.

I'm not that familiar with the site but I do know that last August when driving across from the North East I arrived at 1 in the morning and couldn't get into the car park because of barriers - perhaps they weren't high!

It’s not the car park, it’s on the common green

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but thought it better than starting a new one.

Just a word of warning that the Beaumaris Town Council have increased the day parking fee to £10 for Motorhomes and Campervans (still £5 for other vehicles).

On entry today the parking attendant told me it was a new charge this year and included my “converted van” (a 6m Boxer based PVC).
I questioned the converted van point and was told if I was a “normal” Van it would only be £5.
Seems rather harsh to levy an extra fee based on the internal useage.

Also seems a tad unfair as the common isn’t marked bays and I, and several other vans and smaller MH’s, were neatly tucked up together taking no extra space and as there are lots of areas with no bays and no parking marshal then multiple cars were spaciously parked taking up extra space.

Yes a rip off. We pulled in a few weeks ago had lunch booked at the Bulkeley arms. £10 please i only need a hour and a half. £10 pound please was the reply. Why cant you pay by the hour and pay on the way out. Not rocket science.
