Beach, Front Line Camping - Northern Europe? (1 Viewer)

HI,

We are looking for a front line campsite or freecamp spot right on the beach. Anywhere in northern Continental Europe.

We normally take our Grandchildren to http://www.playamontroig.com/en on the med. But last year we had too many commitments and this year, they cannot take time out of school (I took my kids out of school when they were younger).

So, I was thinking, go in School holidays. Somewhere close to a ferry port would be good.

Any suggestions welcome please?.

There are quite a few between Calais and Dunkirk, though wether you think they are safe is another matter.

I would head for the aire at Le Touquet.
About 30 minutes south of Calais it has a superb beach.

We like the area around Le Touquet, Stella Plage, Merlimont plage, Berck plage. Handy for tunnel or ferry , lovely beaches and promenades, they feel like old style beach resorts.

Have a look at eurocamp independant. They have lots of sites and you can filter what you are looking for. If you find one you like you can either book through the, or independently.
