Personally, I'd think it insane not to have a BBQ point. But I guess it depends on whether you like gas BBQs.

It was only today that I realised I needed two BBQ points - one on each side, that way I can cook in the sun!! I know I could just use a longer hose but that also comes with its issues.

Sapper520, were you there when it was fitted? I'd be interested to know how the gas pipe was routed. A t-piece into the gas line behind the kitchen drawers and then where - under the sliding door threshold into the B pillar or down through the kitchen, along the van underside and back up into the van under the B pillar?

Sorry, no I wasn’t. The whole Gaslow system was fitted by the dealer as part the overall purchase price of our van.

We told them we wanted 2 x 11kgs cylinders, auto changeover, exterior fill point and exterior BBQ point, they did the rest. (y)

All works very well.

Or you could turn the van around 😂 😂 I know fuel prices have gone up, but you could do a few 180's before it outweighed the 2nd gas point cost!

Lol, a bit of copper tube, a couple of fittings and an outlet might be cheaper than a gallon of fuel ...

There is another use to a BBQ point. You can feed into the gas system using an external bottle and regulator. (UK backup to gaslow or european bottle.
I don't have a conventional BBQ point but a tap and quick release fitting.
