BBC Radio 4 " You and yours" today. The great MH investment??? incident (1 Viewer)

Hi all, as in the title, did any one else catch this today. It was all about the [ alleged ]investment opportunities offered by Andrew Hughes? in the rental of MH's as a business, and the sad and unprofitable ending of the venture for many of the people lured into this, $&£$*(^fiasco. He was more recently prosecuted on a separate matter for £60k whilst trying to run a hand sanitiser business, but fell foul of the unsolicited communications act, [ yes one of those who deluge you with time wasting drivel in text messages]. Bloke sounds lower than a smooth snakes gonads. His whining, pitiful excuses seemed to apportion the blame to anyone, everyone else except of course for him. We had a similar "entrepreneur" local to us, he was colloquially known as "Swan Vesta " XXXX, due to amount of his property that mysteriously, and spontaneously burst into flames.
Heartfelt sympathies to all those who lost their hard earned money and Motor Homes.They carried out all the normal good practise checks, but hadn't entertained how shrewd an operator they had got tangled up with, to their cost.

Just glad we got out when we did, we invested in this company when he first started the chattel mortgage investment scheme as Motorholme Hire which was based at Holme farm near Cambridge. Back then he was offering 10% over a three year investment, we invested £35,000 and at the end of the three years we decided to pull out to see if he kept to his word........................he did so it was all good news. A few years later we had thoughts of reinvesting but the interest had dropped to 7% so we never did go ahead, how lucky were we!!
