I would suggest you go a little further south for a few days and take a look at Llafranc and Kims Camping. A beautiful little town with easy access to other ex fishing villages.
Haven’t been to Llafranc and Kim’s Camping for about 40 years.
Had some smashing holidays there. (y)

Thanks everyone just what I need. By the way I'll probably visit end of June (still in ACSI season  ) after the Pau Grand Prix.
Prices start rising dramatically ACSI or no ACSI after 27th June...by 2nd week in July can be double or even triple the price !

Bay of Roses is a great location; nice and historic town of Roses to the North. We have also stayed a little further South at San Pere Pescador (Camping L'Amphora) which has direct access on to the bay.
We have also stayed further South of the Bay of Roses in L'Escala (Camping Ila Matteua) which is quite busy even out of season. It was necessary to reserve a pitch in advance. L'Escala is a very pleasant town with an extensive beach and a huge market every Sunday; worth a visit.
