Hi All.
Thinking about fitting a Ctek BtoB charger to charge leisure batts on the move,i understand that you need a smart alternator fitted , does anyone know when these were fitted to Fiat Ducato cabs ?, mines a 2011 2.3 130 bhp 6 speed. Any info would be great. Would this be suitable for charging a Lion battery? , as thinking about changing to one.
TIA . dridgeyboy.

Don't think you need a smart alternator, that's partly a function of a B2B charger I think.

I've got a Sterling unit fitted to my 07 Ducato, very useful as we don't spend much time on hookup - 30 mins drive fully recharges the batteries.

Shouldn't think that a Lion battery would be a problem, the B2B has settings for different types of battery, but I would check the technical specs first.

Sterling battery to battery chargers have a LifePo4 setting
Been pleased with ours

We had the first Sterling B2B when it was the size of a VHS cassette deck, they’ve become much smaller and we recently had the latest tiny one fitted. Excellent bit of kit yy
