OK - i know this is a piece of string question.... but we have a booked a two night festival with our motor home (Maverick in Suffolk). All the camping we have done so far has been on 'proper' sites so have not relied on battery power. So if we use the standard leisure battery for lights (its in July so not too much), some water pump and charging of iPads and phones - will the battery last us ???

If not do we go for 2nd battery or small portable solar panel?

thanks as ever for your help

cheers

If your battery is in good condition it should be sufficient for the use you have described, especially if you have LED lights.... :thumb:

an 85ah battery will give you around 40 amps to play with (50% discharge)

standard 10 watt halogen lights should use near enough 1amp per hour each.
water pump around 10amps but only used for a few seconds at a time, except for showering.
even running the pump for an hour total is only 25% of your capacity.
phone/ipad charging negligible. (milliamps)

if your battery is in good nick it should be no problem for a couple of days.
