Hi all
I've got a Hobby Van --T500-- which I'm able to leave on hook up when not using. My question is should I isolate the GEL battery or just leave the charger to sort things out I understand that the charger is one of these multi stage jobs.
I should say that I leave an oil filled rad in the van to prevent freeze up am I right in thinking this does not go through leisure battery.

If the charger is working correctly you are OK to leave on.

If that heater catches fire you are not insured.

unless you have a big inverter then your oil filled rad will be straight off the hookup.
as for leaving it plugged in all the time yes we do and in summer if the big yellow ball in the sky appears then it gets topped up with the solar as well.

Hi and welcome
if it is a multi stage charger then safe to leave connected

your oil rad is powered from the 230v mains supply only
