If its a Battery master for keeping the engine battery topped you need to connect it direct to the starter battery no connection on the front on an EBL99 for starter battery

That’s what I did. But they did say it can be connected to the back of out electroblock but space was tight and I didn’t fancy. moving the electroblock and disturbing the electrics

Cables to he batteries with suitable fuses. Does the job👍

How did you find a way in from starter battery?

The 3-way connector goes to the leisure battery (Pin1 negative Pin2 positive). It's meant for the solar controller connection. On many other EBLs pin2 is the starter battery positive, but not on the EBL99 unfortunately.

There are other possibilities for connecting to the starter battery, but some people think it's easier to run a wire to the starter battery.

Pin 1 of the 5-way connector goes to the starter battery. If you can get the connectors and you are happy with crimping pins onto wires, one solution is to make a short (10cm or less) one-to-one cable, with an extra wire from pin1 for the BM. That's what for example Votronic supply when connecting their dual-output solar controller to the battery via the EBL. The connectors are Mate-N-Lok type. One word of caution - those pins supply the fridge heater, quite a heavy current, so use good quality crimp terminals.

Another solution is to connect into the main starter battery input wire that comes in on the big terminal block at the back of the EBL.

In the leisure battery’s box I mounted the BM. Direct connection to the battery with a 10 amp fuse. Ran a decent sized cable under the floor to starter battery with 10a fuses both ends. Simple really but took some time to do.

Thanks have took glove box out and pushed a cable through the the engine so will hopefully get it wired up tomorrow after work. Thanks for all the advice 👍
