I have a Ford based Chausson 628, there is a Solar Panel [not sure of output yet] which I assume keeps the Leisure Battery topped up but how often should I charge the Starter Battery [or take it out for a run] whilst not in use - my car lasts well when not used but never owned a van before so just asking for advice. Would never leave it standing only Civid-19 lockdown ........

If the engine battery isn't charged by solar (check the battery voltage with a meter on a sunny day, should be 13.6v or more if being charged) then I would charge for a few hours every 2 weeks. The battery will only take as much as it needs.

The solar may well be setup to charge the starter battery if not it is easy to add a solar split charge relay or a battery master to keep it topped up.

If its not being topped up the starter battery will last about 3 - 4 weeks.
