When I went to check the liquid level in my starter battery ( 2017 boxer) I was not sure how much acid should be in there, so I have taken a picture.
I did notice that there is a moulded bit of plastic that looks like a Dipstick going down into each sell, but this is part of the battery case and not removable like an engine Dipstick.
So should the level be right up till say 5mm from the top, or is it the correct level when it touches the plastic dipstick as per pics ?

Just touching the plastic dipstick (as per pics) when fully charged.
