Hi Guys,I hope someone can help me. We were due to go away for the weekend this evening, but the engine wouldn`t turn over as insufficient battery charge, so weekend aborted, doh! We haven`t driven the van for 3 weeks, and I usually just put on the EHU and give the cab battery a boost for a few hours as its let us down before, but charged up sufficiently to start up. This time the boost obviously didnt work! I have access to a 12 volt tester, and my question is, how can I be sure its the battery that isnt charging, rather than the charger not charging this time? Hope that makes sense as I dont want to waste £100 on a new battery if its the charger thats faulty

And for the future, if the van's on your drive, leave it on EHU full-time while at home. ;)

Should the battery discharge in only 3 weeks unless its not holding charge?

Left it on EHU all night, in cab battery charging position, still no juice there. AA coming out with a new battery

New battery duly fitted, although the one in the cab was a 700amp battery, but vehicle should have a 620amp, which is what was fitted. Cranking fine, and alternator working fine. I wonder why there was a 700 in there?
