Folks, I am having a discussion on the Ducati Forum of which I am also a member. Rather than repeat it all ad infinitum I have attached a link. It's a short chat about new battery woes and it all a wee bit inconclusive.


Do us a favour...if you know batteries go and have a quick shuffty and tell me what you think..,

A '12 Volt' battery has 6 cells, and its normal voltage is 12.6 V, so each cell is 2.1V.

If one of the cells has shorted, so there's zero volts from it, you lose 1/6 of the voltage. 10.5V is a classic shorted cell symptom.
