I keep my motorhome at home connected up with a hook up. This lets me have a dehumidifier and heater connected up but it also means that the battery is continually on charge. Is this a good thing or not?
Obviously I can disconnect the charger by tripping the fuse to it but what's the best policy.
When I first had the van I left it on but then had a problem with the charger malfunctioning (and replaced under warranty eventually) so what's the best thing to do?

My guess is that it might depend on the type of charger as a decent three stage should be OK but some of the older less sophisticated types might not be.

Not sure how sophisticated or not the charger is but hopefully it's fairly modern as the van is only 3 years old
