I recently removed my old hab battery to fully charge with my new victron charger whilst the van is in for a gearbox repair. Its a standard Halfords 110amp lead acid battery.
I removed it from charge on Monday and its still holding at 13.45 volts today. I didnt think that was possible?

Mine settle at 12.7v. It might be the compressed rice paper in your volt meter getting damp... :giggle:

Nar. You have a faulty multimeter 😂😂😂😂

I hope not, I've just checked my car battery and that's at 12.80, went back to the hab battery, still 13.45

Same reply as above 🤔 (I hope not, I've just checked my car battery and that's at 12.80, went back to the hab battery, still 13.45)

That’s LiFePo4 resting voltage.

Isn't it called surface charge? Our Gel leisure battery stays high for a while but not that long 🤔

Yes surface charge, but, it should fade fairly quick, less than 30mins.

I’m off to do 10 laps around Brands Hatch to rejuvenate my batteries 😂

I agree with Richard and Ann, it's surface charge. I take it your battery is isolated, on a bench, not connected in to a motorhome. The small drain current when connected usually dissipates the surface charge in a an hour or two max.

Yes it is on a bench. I can't think of anything here I can connect to it. It'll have to wait until Saturday when I can refit it into the van.
