Personally I would think twice about changing the battery on my MH myself, not because I don't know how simply because of the weight of it and the difficulty of lifting the old one out and the new one in, I have Merc sprinter and the battery would need to be lifted to shoulder level then almost held at arms length, think I would rather pay for someone else to get the Hernia!

Shoulder height !
Is there a garden missing a gnome somewhere ? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

How would you do it?

Don't be a wimp! I changed mine in my sprinter-based hymer and I've only got one arm! and it's an A Class too- even more difficult, mind you I had to stand on a step ladder to wriggle it out.
Cheers, Dave:thumb:
ps only joking about the wimp bit.

Just lift it in.. absolutely no problem at all.. The merc is no different to the Pug and Fiat height wise.
But then I am a 5ft 10" giant :ROFLMAO:

Since 2005
needed a jump start on my work van last week......the battery was knackered.

Boss sent one of the other guys in a Renault Traffic with some jump leads.

Found the battery under the floor, philips head self tappers holding the cover plate siezed solid. (I thought they should be torx screws)

Oh i know...use the jumper positive post under the bonnet !

No ! Renault dont fit a jumper post to the 2009 traffic even though the battery is under the passenger floor.

My van stayed where it was...roadside in the next town...until the next day when i brought and fitted a new battery.

Maybe I'll do the pollen filter next that's a doddle too:roflmto:

Yes next week I'll cover this one, quite easy when you have pictures step by step. This one is wide open to being charged for without being replaced as part of a full service and usually at near £40 for the filter plus fitting.
A good quality filter can be obtained for under £12 tops and ten minutes to change :thumb:

:Eeek:

Perhaps my son should learn how to multiply by 10 in his small garage then he could charge £1300!:thumb:

Battery on an A Class Merc?

The battery on this is under the driver's feet !
Lift carpet, lift cover and there it is, so obvious really

I changed the front discs and pads on the wife's 2010 207 as it was on the advisory at first MOT cost me £68 for the parts and took an hour at home. How much would a garage have charged? I wouldn't even enquire.
Parts were made in Germany under the trade name of PAGID first class quality:thumb:
