I am thinking of installing a sterling b to b charger in my frankia, Questions are ,
People always said that fast charging boils batteries, is that right?
Do you have to disconnect the original battery charger or leave it running
Later on I hope this set-up will be okay for lithium.
Do you have to wire it to the d+ signal wire,

Haha, just about to ask the same question!

The B2B charges your leisure batteries more efficiently - doesn't boil them.
The B2B only charges when the engine is running. You can use your mains charger when on EHU although you may need a specialised charger for lithium.
You don't necessarily have to connect to the D+ signal. My B2B detects the rise in voltage from the alternator.
What make is your electrical 12v power system, CBE, Schault etc ?

I have try schault, thanks for the link

Take care not to create a charging loop when using a B2B with Schaudt and CBE systems. My Votronic B2B came with specific instruction on how to connect it to Schaudt EBL. On my CBE system I connected the B2B but had to disable the charging relay that normally links the leisure and engine batteries when the engine is running. I find using the D+ signal to activate the B2B more satisfactory than voltage sensing.

Would a B2B fool a smart alternator ?

Morning fitting b2b with 2relays as in Pausin posts and another relay to disconnect solar all controlled by wire from fridge run signal that also activates the Stirling as in mode 2 so this way no loop made with old split charge system and no solar input when engine running may fit override switch so if any problems can flick switch and system reverts to old split charge system .
This b2b seemsto keep the little grey cells active while in semi lockdown
