Been 4 or 5 times and loved it. We've stayed outside and travelled in by train and m/bike, arrived on a cruise ship and have even had an apartment just off the Ramblas. We aslo love Gaudi and have seen most of his works but as everyone says, be VERY careful of pickpockets and petty thieves. If you decide to travel in by bike make sure you either take your helmets with you or find a locker in which to leave them. A friend of ours had his helmets secured to his bike but some toerags just cut through the straps and took them. Very inconvenient and expensive trying to find a motorcycle shop stocking helmets.
