Barbecue Style Rack of Ribs.

I'm a newbie.
Had this yesterday and I must say that it was the best recipe I have ever tasted for Barbecue Style Rack of Ribs:
  • 1 x 3 rib pork rack (ask for back ribs which are shorter)
  • Sprig of Rosemary
  • Sprig of Thyme
  • 1 clove of garlic unpeeled with slit.
Place ribs and herbs (I used dried) and garlic into a saucepan, cover with boiling water and boil for 10 minutes.
  • Glaze
  • 1 Tbsp Golden Syrup or Honey (I used Honey)
  • 2 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • Pinch Ground Ginger
  • 1 Tbsp Soya Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Brown sugar
Place all the glaze ingredients in a pan and simmer for 3-4 minutes.

Heat oven to 200ºC/400ºF/Gas 6.

Place ribs into a metal roasting dish and brush with glaze.
Place into oven and cook for 10-12 minutes.
Remove from oven and turn over and brush with glaze.
Place back into oven and cook for further 10-12 minutes.

No messing about with marinating in fridge overnight etc.

Definitely the best ribs I've ever tasted but would love to hear from anyone with an equally good - or even better - recipe.

Great to hear you tried the recipe, Mike and so pleased that you liked them! I had been looking for an "easy" recipe for ages but some were so complicated ... this is definitely the best, easy, recipe for Barbecued "Style" rack of ribs! Keep the "easy" recipes coming!! :laughing:

:Smile: Thank you thank you, you'd never beleive this I never usually have ribs in, but seen some really lean ones and bought them, not sure what I was going to do with them, then I see your recipe, thought that's a sign (y)

I also had all the ingredients in the house, just had a bowl of wedges roast vegetables and the tastiest ribs, lovely , thank you.
