Are there any members that have this motorhome, I was wondering what their thoughts are on it? Positive and negative. How do they get on with the drop down bed?

Yes we have one and love it the bed is comfy and the only problem we have had is with the water gauges

You can name any van from any country and there will be the odd "disaster" !!
I lived in Germany for nearly 20 years and have a great respect for most things "German made". BUT, I have had 3 English made vans and they have all been sound,
and fit for purpose, with only a few "niggles".. (1 Elddis and 2 Autotrails) ..
But Knockinonabit had a disaster !! I am afraid it is a lottery, I know it shouldn't be when you are spending many tens of thousands of pounds, but it is !! And that is a sad idictment
on the industry as whole.
BUT, why knock the UK ?? Don't we have enough problems already ?? Bent MP's, too
many immigrants etc etc.. Give ourselves a break !!
All I can hope is that anyone buying a new van goes in with their eyes WIDE open, gets as much advice as they can from people who "have the T shirt", try out every van they can find, and check everything that its possible to check.. And that they have the good fortune to pick well and be lucky, and have as much fun as we all do !!! :D

And never trust verbal agrements.
Any questions you ask do so via E-mail.
If the dealer responds by phone ask him to send it vie mail.
Salesmen are trained, customers are not.
As I said before I have been in one Bailey
And found it to be a very well finished motorhome.

Do you keep all your bedding on when you raise it up?

Yes we do but we remove the pillows and put them in the storage spaces above driver and passenger seat

we have a 740 and have had a few minor niggles but all sorted out by our supplying dealer without any delay .
As previously said you can end up with a "Lemon" from any motorhome manufacturer .
Were happy enough with it and our presently touring Spain

We have an electric drop down bed and all the bedding stays on as well. I made cushion covers to fit the pillows so our pillows turn in to cushions during the day :-)

If you want a comfortable decent size drop down bed there is no substitute for a German A Class van.

we have the compact 520 and love it, the bed always made and in situ, and the mega garage storage.
Is there any more 520 owners out there??
