With the low chassis very easy to ground on even slight hills! Had a good grounding whilst in Portugal and thought I had got away with it. However a week later whilst looking under the vehicle I noticed a loose wire hanging down. Upon inspection I determined that it was part of the Growler alarm system.
Upon closer inspection noted that it had been cut where the AL-Ko chassis meets the Peugeot chassis.
It sits upon the hand brake cable and is slightly proud and underneath the chassis. IE closer to the floor.
The alarm still switched on. It did beep twice so there was a warning that something was amiss.
Anyway after a wait down to Van Bitz who quickly repaired it for a modest fee and apparently the first such instance they had seen. I have always been a lucky bugger!!
So if you are going to ground your vehicle, do it at the back!!
