Hi
I'm thinking about changing my 2014 Bessaccar 442 for a Bailey Autograph 75-2, so have read this review thread with interest. Anyone got a tow bar fitted?
I would like to tow my 1965 Riley EXlf on an A Frame behind the MH

We considered a tow bar, cost was around £850 and additional weight of bar and nose weight put on tow bar eats into the payload. Something to think about.

Spotted a Tow bar for less than £400. There won't be any nose weight as the Elf will be on an A Frame.
Where did you get your MH?

Going there tomorrow.
Tow bar price from tow bars-uk.co.uk £347.52 inc vat but not sure about carriage, wait til I buy MH first!

Kimberley were okay, part ex was sort of what we expected and we didn’t feel ripped off in anyway. Every time there has been warranty issues they have sorted it, it’s more the inconvenience of taking it in that’s the real hassle. I would certainly buy from them again. The tow bar price (supply and fit) was from Hedley Tow Bars in Durham.

Hi @Dide46 earlier in the thread you mentioned a Truma air con unit. Is that the one that goes in a bedbox rather than on the roof, what do you think of it?

Just wondering about getting one as it was so hot at night in Spain this year

It is the one that goes on the roof, it is a little noisy however it’s certainly worth the trade off for a cool van. When we were away in Europe this year it was seriously hot and we wold not have been without it, especially on the night time as the van was kept nice and cool which helped us sleep. In fact much more comfortably than we have been in the UK in our house without air con and the temp here was no where near as hot as the temperatures we faced on holiday.

@Dide46 thanks for the info, very interested in getting one but seen some negative comments on other threads including one from one of our resident traders.

Can I ask, did you get it fitted or did it come with your 75-2?

I have seen some advertised that fit an existing roof vent hole

Any further info appreciated

We had ours fitted by Auto additions - he fits Nationwide - good prices and no issues.

You'll need to shave half an inch off the cupboard door - not a drama as it still covers the opening.

The main clothes hanging cupboard - the door overhangs the gap by so much that half an inch makes no difference. Remind any installer that this needs to be done. Ours is a Truma Comfort and integrates with the ALDE panel with a TIN BUS cable - the light and aircon can then be controlled by the ALDE panel. Loosing the window makes little difference to internal light levels.

I’m not too sure what negative reports have been on here so I couldn’t comment on that! Like mentioned there is no alteration to the sky light it’s just removed and given back to you so theoretically it could go back in. The trimming of the door is nothing and you cannot really tell. We didn’t bother with connecting it to Alde system as we are more than happy to use the remote control which is easier than going to the panel.
