We have a 2011 Fiat Ducato PVC and are looking to replace the fixed back aftermarket step (which takes us over the magic 6m for ferries) with a retractable step either manual or electric. We do not need a full width step but fitted off centre below the main back door would do fine. We have found plenty of steps for the sliding side door but none designed for the back. I could no doubt do a bit of engineering and make up a suitable mounting frame for a retractable step cassette but wonder if anyone out there has found a ready made mount for the Ducato.

Can. You other a step that's built into the rear bumper? we used to have one on the works van that was a merc though try looking in Fiat accessories.
