Well here we are back where we started our trip ready to catch the train back tomorrow. Never been away this long before and thourghly enjoyed it 5 weeks all but 2 days nothing run out and all worked a treat. Probably have to wait till next September to do it again but hope to do the Xmas market run in a couple of months.

Sounds good….and which Xmas market do you go to? Hubby is keen to go to one but I'm not too sure.

We did it last year, ipers, arras , and a few local village ones but we missed out on what looked the best one, right here in gravelines it was going to start 2 days after we had booked the tunnel to go home, hundreds of stalls set up , far more than the others, there always seems to be something going on here

Definitely worth a visit to the German markets. Our favourite is Cologne as they actually have 7 Christmas markets, including one on a boat, which was mainly crafts.

The Aire is a good 15-20 minute walk away though so you need to be pretty fit to walk that far after walking round all 7 markets, LOL!
