I have sourced an additional 6 pin window switch and have found a diagram from another unrelated source showing how to wire in the additional switch. Before I fit it would anyone be able to confirm I am ok to proceed please?

I have been investigating the project and found that the existing passenger window( nearside) is wired as the attached photo with obviously the red and blue being the 12v +ve and -ve. The top and bottom are feeds to the window motor. The wires feed through from under the dashboard and there are two of each red and blue so I am wondering if they also serve the drivers side as they would in a normal two door van. So I need to investigate driver side and see whats there.

Just a quick update, found an ignition supply on drivers side so connected to that and ran cable to passenger window and it works. So that diagram is correct so for anyone who wants to be able to control passenger window from drivers side just get a 6 pin window switch ( which the commonest ones are identical to the hymer one) and a 3m length of suitable cable and a few spade terminals.

Just a quick update. I tried to find a location for the window switch on the drivers side and found that on my B578 it has a a couple of switches at knee level on the large storage box below the window. It appears that they are Hella within a three switch panel with a spare slot for another switch. Couldnt find a suitable window switch on Hella website but a bit of searching on ebay found one for a Reault clio. It fits the panel but it is 6 pin but a different layout ( straight row not 4+2 as the existing switch in the Hymer.)
It seems pin 1 is for switch illumination so actually 5 pins for window operation.
I am working on the variation of options and think the following;
2= window up
3-ve
4+ve
5-ve
6 = window down.
Anyone any thoughts please?
Just checked with battery and meter and it is not correct, so will try again.

Well that Renault switch was very close to fitting but not quite so back to original switch which I have mount in the top of the dash. However after all my changing wires/ switches I must have upset the electrics as the buzzer to the hab step has stopped working and the feed I had found in the dash is also dead. Anyone know which fuse it will be please?
I am having no luck with anything I touch recently, should I just give up?

Don't give up, I've been following this as I've always thought it would be useful to be able to operate the passenger side window from drivers seat.
The step buzzer can be a bit flakey, I replaced mine with one off ebay for a couple of pounds, or it could be a lose connection.
Not sure about the ignition feed if it's gone dead suddenly ? Be worth checking all fuses in dash and under bonnet

Morning update, checked fuses but couldnt locate the one controlling the feed I wanted to use. So I rigged up a direct lead from engine battery and bingo passenger window motors up and down on new switch. I still need to find out why that feed isnt live. Buzzer to hab step is working.
Couple of pics of new switch in position and connection in rhs of dash.
