Hi,
Anyone able to get 60a+ outputs from alternator to b2b charger on mk8 ford transit?

There s probably the option of a larger alternator. Things like Ambulances have them

I can find out once I get home after the weekend. As I don't have my multimeter with me.

Mine is the dual battery model so I guess has a larger alternator.

You need to find the part number on the alternator and check the spec.
A 60 amp B2B will be fine on a 160 amp alternator but will probably burn out a 90 amp one.

The issue with the smart alternator, as far as I can see vehicle bms asking alternator maximum 50a (usually less) at any time. Perhaps there is some sort of protection for starter battery...

Burstner 2019 2.3 150 auto. Cruising at 55 mph. 845 w from alternator, 416 w from solar

Depends on the size of the alternator

My camper is on a Ford E450 chassis and has a 220amp alternator and I easily pull 100amps plus on using a 120amp Buck boost DC-DC charger
